card requires ( Minimum Recommended System Power (W) 450 W)
note system power not psu rating which means it needs a minimum 450w available to it after everything else has taken its power from the supply.

prob not ya main problem ram would likely be your hold up, those cpu's have some balls about em for an older cpu (had one in my old system performed better with most things then the Q6600 i have now).

just carefully pull that stick out and ditch it for 3 or 4 gb of good quality ddr2 ram (wont see the entire 4gb in 32bit)
check the rating of your supply (want rms rating not peak)
use driver sweaper sweep the nvidea drivers then install latest driver (not beta driver) http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Dr ... d1655.html

then go from there

thanks,
I think I'm gonna get some more ram this weekend and then reformat my pc to 64bit win7
as for the PSU, I found out that it's a shaw 600w PSU model number 340u.
I know nothing about PSU's so I'm not sure what that means.
I also am using the latest drivers and got rid of the other drivers ages ago.

LMAO , shaw is the generic (ie homebrand sh1te) PSU's that MSY ship with their pre-built systems , get a Corsair (SeaSonic is the OEM version) or an Antec / Enermax / SilverStone /Thermalright etc.

Ones to avoid are aPower / Cooler Master / Shaw /Thermaltake etc.

Try to spend in the $100-200 range for a quality PSU than $50 for a generic P.O.S. , it's the one thing all your components are connected to & the one place where you don't want to skimp on quality.

Look for strong rails on the PSU & it will handle your card & CPU with ease , not struggle when your system is under load.

This is what I use in mine (but this may be overkill for you)

This is an old PSU now days , but still goes well.

haha yeah i built this pc a couple years back, and did not know too much about pc components.
since then i have learnt a bit and the only things that are the same since the time i built it are the MB and PSU.
i'll definately splash out and get a decent PSU.
