Mouse pads and skates

Hello :)

Has anyone got one of these mouse pads and are they any good?

http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235/CATID=470/ID=2191/SID=160342863/productdetails.html

I've never used a mouse pad so I don't really know much about whats good or not... Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have also placed a query onto the Playtech Website asking if they have got or can get any replacement mouse skates for my old Logitech MX518, whereas the current ones are just about nonexistent due to years of wear and tear and one of them has come right off altogether and cant find it anywhere, probably been vacuumed up for sure by now. should have used a mouse pad really ( derp ), they probably would have lasted allot longer. Anyway, what do you think about replacing mouse feet? has anyone else replaced theirs? I would just buy a new mouse but due to lack of work and rl bills I cant really afford one at the moment :( Also, this mouse still seems OK except for the foot problems which make it a little wobbly and doesn't glide very well, So if replacing the feet makes it just about as good as new, why bother buying a new one. Oh yea, Are the newer laser mice much better for gaming than the optical? Probably buy one soonish when more work happens, but just a fix for now would be good.

If I cant get any feet for my mouse, what do you reckon about these ones in the following link? They aren't the same one's but I could probably still trim them to fit if I need to lol... might be alright.

Ok, Cheers man.

I'm thinking, I may as well just put up with this one for a bit longer until I can afford a new one.

I'll get a Steel-series pad as well for sure. :)

I did email that hypergilde outfit though, enquiring if the still operate and ship to NZ.

Better off putting the cost towards a new mouse and pad though I reckon.

I've got a SS mousepad but I don't know anything about a cloth one. I have a Razer mouse (Imperator), but the bloody thing likes to stop working in-game, and sometimes gives me input lag. I've read a few reviews on Razer mice (and this particular model), and some people have said that they also have the issue where it stops working and you have to unplug and replug it. Not sure about the input lag though; might be just my machine (happens in online and single player games). If you have to go brand new, I would probably suggest not a Razer mouse, but other people who know more might tell you different. Pretty sure there was another recent thread (in the last few months) where someone was asking for build ideas and there was some useful discussion on mice, but unfortunately I don't have the time to find you the link atm, sorry buddy.

Check the mice, prices include postage
WOW! fairly cheap.. even with the exchange rate.

Does the free shipping apply to NZ as well? EDIT: Shipping is FREE, Australia wide.

$49.00AU for a G500 at that site.

$129.00NZ at the NZ Logitech site, WTF! lol

Cheapest one listed on this site http://pricespy.co.nz is $83.89NZ

Cheaper to buy from AUS lol

Years back I started loosing skates off my old logitech. Around the same time mice skates started dissappearing from the logitech mice at work. Weird that.

OIC, Thanks for the heads up mate.

Though, I hadn't really decided to buy a G500. It was just the mouse I chose to compare the price's with.

Not really sure which mouse I'll get yet, but from what you said there man, it wont be a G500. :)

G500 & a G5 joker.
Some feedback IB , I am running the G500 on a different desk (smoother surface) stilll not as smooth as G5 but if your surface is slick , it's not as bad as on my previous desk.

The indexing on the G5 mouse3 is stilll superior & I don't see a point to the freewheel button for mouse3 (mouse wheel) but obviously having a mousepad or a slick surface is a necessity if you want to run the G500 mouse.

Only started using it after my last post in this thread to re-test & I'm starting to think it may have been a good idea.

i snagged my razer goliathus speed edition for $15 and its the best $15 ive ever spent. decent mousepad and it glides very nicely.
check it out.i would advise the speed edition over the control for various reasons.
