Hi all,
I’ve got a serious problem going on here , when I start ET , my server list stays empty no matter what options I select.
Task Manager is telling me ET.exe*32 is using approx 50% & System Idle Process 45-49% .
I’ve tried restarting & cold booting but I was playing successfully this arvo with new maps installed until I shut down for lunch & now my cpu locks up & ET stops responding!
Ending ET.exe*32 in Task Manager unlocks cpu but when I restart ET it repeats same problem.
This is not PnkBstrB.exe*32 that’s going all out on the cpu & cpu usage drops to 0-1% when ET is closed.
I’ve got 42 Processes running with commit charge at 555M / 9399M on a 500GB Sata 2 drive with winXP 64bit (This is the same as yesterday & earlier & was having no problems then).
My ET installation is set at default with a bind key on K for kill(was on Z but I accidentally kept hitting it) with blood effects turned off & low quality sky turned on.
Since installing new maps is it possible that my Hunkmegs are the problem? & if so, how do I adjust that?
I don’t know how to use the command console or edit config / system /game files so pls be patient if I say “hey what?”.

Oh it may not be relevant but I d/l’d files from here & manually installed them to C:Program Files (x86)Wolfenstein – Enemy Territoryetmain before I started ET today & it did work,till I cold booted 🙁

I’ll keep running tests & rebooting till I get a response here.
