Is it possible to create a bind that allows me to connect to the ET server without having to type
/connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960
All the time.
Like open Et hit a key and it connects in?
um not that i know of, i know if you have a shortcut on the desktop you can add connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960 to the target in the properties section
how to get there right click et shortcut then go to properties then in the target text box it should have “C:Program FilesWolfenstein – Enemy TerritoryET.exe”
add connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960 so it looks like this “C:Program FilesWolfenstein – Enemy TerritoryET.exe” connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960 or “C:Program Files (x86)Wolfenstein – Enemy TerritoryET.exe” connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960 if running 64bit

i’m pretty sure you can make .cfg file (open notepad and save to ETmain as a .cfg file)
i.e.
/connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960 /autoexec

^^ what he said.
Binds only work when you’re connected to a server. If for some reason you didn’t want to do the above, you could always have:
set con vstr connect ozserver1.dyndns.org:27960
in your config
Then just go
vstr con
in the console right after you open ET.
But really, changing the shortcut is easy as pie. If you wanted, you could always have an ‘-OZ-ET’ shortcut and a ‘ET’ shortcut that doesn’t have the auto connect thing.
From my understanding, autoexec.cfg doesn’t run until you are connecting to a server? I could be wrong, I haven’t played with configs in forever.

Thats great and all.
But i have a mac. . .
Might try Admirals idea though.
Whack this in your etmain folder and you will get an OZ menu to connect to the OZ servers. Takes about 2 clicks to enter our pub server ๐
Alternatively, you can bind a key to connect to oz. For instance you can do /bind ] “connect blah.blah”. However, if you do this in game, it will add it to your pub config which is not loaded by default on ET startup. I haven’t tried this but it should work…do the /bind ] “connect blah” when you open up ET in the start. This should add it to your etmain config and let you hit one button to go into the server.
Cheers
