i had the same problem a while back when i played on my laptop – i couldnt use my config, same problem.

Might be something with resolution?

You didnt have to reinstall the entire game.
That error just means something screwed up since your last execution of the game or you are using the wrong etpub mod(patched or unpatched) to the server
(ie. your ui_mp_x86.dll file is either corrupt or not the same as the one on server).

From splatterladder, it shows that the server is using ET2.60 so remove your current setup which is ET2.60b and reinstall ET2.60 and it should be fixed.

Well it still wont solve his problem if his running a autoconfig as his game is bombing out. Read what u posted up and you will find why. Id rather not just give you the solution straight out as people need to learn to read a bit. If nothing comes of that hit me up and ill help out but yea other than that the advice people have given is good.

have u updated ur graphics card?

its an opengl thing

set ur resolutions down also
