How many unread. . . o_O

Is it possible to somehow make all the unread posts (over 1000) to somehow be read.
This is without reading every post which means opening every page and chewing through my valuable time (lol).
For some reason this would make the identifying and reading of new posts easier, Not to mention it’s irritating having all those “old” posts there.

Instead of going through old, unread posts, click the view new posts link instead.
That will show you the posts that have occurred since you last visited or something like that.
search.php?search_id=newposts

Yeah thats what i used to do but then for some reason i started missing posts from there.
They just didn’t appear under that section.

Well they tick over after a certain amount of time. For someone like me who is at a computer for work a lot, I generally check in on the site at least once a day, so I don’t miss really anything using the show new posts thing.
If you only visit the forums sparingly then yeah it probably isn’t the thing for you!
I’d suggest hassling BR to get off his butt and make a script or whatever the web people call their code to check the timestamp of your last visit and then show posts that have been posted since that time. However, that is what I thought the show new posts thing did…

Go to that link and on the right hand side, just under the Navbar, with the logout links etc. There is abutton called, mark forums read. Click that and that should solve your problems.
