try these:
-upgrade pc, internet or maybe graphix card.
“/rate 25000”
-fiddle around with your maxpackets. “/cl_maxpackets 60” etc etc (the usual settings are 40,60 or 100.
-“/com_maxfps 125”
-lower your graphics settings.
well thats about all i know. ๐Ÿ™‚
good luck happy

I know I’m not exactly an expert but just make sure its not something obvious ie nobody else is using the internet for stuff like youtube or torrent downloading. Make sure no PC’s are doing windows updates (unneccesary piles of garbage) and stuff like that.
Else… yeah, upgrade ur GFX card, whats the specs of your PC happy?
Ie RAM, GFX card, CPU speeds etc?
Simple way to find out some info is to go…
*rick click* My Computer > Properties and it’ll lsit your specs (not including GFX etc).

To find out your GFX card model (unless you know iot off the top of your head Ie mines a 8500GT with 512mb)
Go…
*right click on desktop* Properties > Settings
And it’ll tell you, EG mines says BenQ T221WA (my 22inch monitor) on Nvidia GeForce 8500GT.

ALso are you playing fullscreen or windowed?

Guys this isnt going to be anything to do with Happy’s pc’s specs as he has never complained of fps lag, only connection lag (For those telling him to turn his graphics settings down).

And the problem I always have with people with any wireless connection:

i hav wireless internet

He doesn’t have wireless internet, he has wired internet connected to a router. And he connects to the router via WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network :p).

Wireless internet is like this:
http://www.woosh.com/ContentClient/Home/Home.aspx

Happy did you try those things I asked you to?
Either move pc closer to router/ move router closer to pc/ try a cabled connection (Doesnt matter which of the three, just if your going to do one of the first two try to make it only a few metres with a max of one wall i between ๐Ÿ˜€ ).

Once you’ve tried that tell me what the result is, we can always try setting up a static IP see if that fixes.

Happy the problem with WLAN is that it is very unpredictable, I mean WLAN will lose connection at random and until it recieves a signal again you will always get random lag spikes, it could be anything from radio interferance etc etc etc

At the moment, cables will always give better connection than Wireless. I recommend changing to cabled most. However, chances are that you can’t have cabled because it’s in another room, so there isn’t really all that much you can do.

Try a TCP optimiser perhaps?

Be careful though. I used one, and I get zero lag. Br used one and now has like, the worst cable upload speed in the world.

spam spam spam

anyway hap u should do what i have get rid of ur wireless card that gives u wireless lan and get a cable running to a wireless switch and put that switch on something high and let that thing connect to ur router that way its always a stronger signal but a bit slower then cable but works fine for me ๐Ÿ˜›

but just get a freaking cable and be done with it

Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons!
