Hi Guys,

Recently getting back into ET after an extended break, unfortunately i only have a Mac to play it on, however i think i’ve done everything correctly in terms of downloading punkbuster etc and i find that some servers work in the US and other places but i’d prefer to play more locally, re-found your server and whenever i join i get to loading the map, it fully loads then closes down saying “Wolfenstein ET quit Unexpectedly”, i can’t post the error message because its about 16,000 characters.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated as to what is causing my problem

Thanks

Might just be our mod as we have customized it and there has been some updates to it that we need to do which we have been putting off

Or we will just go to a standard etpub build

i haven’t had any issues on oz server or any other once i put in the two required fixes for ET to work on recent OSX. Most important is to turn off one of the r_ext opengl options as incompatible with apple osx opengl and crashes ET. can’t remember which particular extension..but you can find it on google and edit the main and etpub profile config with a text editor b4 launching ET. Other required fix nowadays is an sdl sound wrapper as the built in driver calls are to a sound driver no long in OSX and you get no sound otherwise. once again google.

this is osx/mac. not needed and there is no administrator. if u mean root account, you definitely do not run anything as root yourself.
