Also one thing if you are not running a config at the moment go into your etmain etpub folder and copy the etconfig before u run this one just incase u dont like it and want to put it back to the way u had it.

To do so place the copy of etconfig in etmain in the server pull down cosole and type exec the name u gave the copy and all should be restored back to normal like the way u had it thanks again need your comments on it tho

ALSO look in all configs to see how they work for example the name changer class changer spawn changer etc it should explain all
One other thing if u dont have a mouse 4 u will have to reasign that key to get long and close aim

Interesting reading through that config file

I don’t understand the whole strafe bit, but i suppose i’ll change the controls to wasd then try it out.
I’ll also have to change the ram settings and such, seeing as i only have 512 ram, i can’t really use all of it on ET. Speaking of which, whats a safe percentage of my ram to use as com_hunkmegs?

Well, i’m glad i tried it on my second install,

screen went smaller (black lines around the outside)
none of the movement controls worked and it took me 4 or 5 tries to connect and after a short time it disconnected me for packet loss.

^that was with only taking out the name bit and making the hunkmegs smaller, everything else was left as it was.

Not sure what to do to make the config work for me.

Here is another one that i fixed for davids system and it worked for him so just try it out and let me know if u get the same problem. Just replace the ozconfig with this one.

Soz looks like due to everyone having a diff system it might need a few changes to suit there comps.

But try this and let me know if it works

As for movement the keys are the arrow keys so u’d have to change then to suit your style and make sure its not overlapped as in something else set as that key hope that makes sense

Well, I tried that one today, the screen looked better.

I had to change my cl_maxpackets back to 30 and my snaps to 20 ’cause i was lagging more.

Also I did r_gamma 3

It seems weird playing with your controls, because of the gap between the arrow keys and the other buttons
playing with it I get more headshots, but I have trouble moving/changing weapon as such

If I wanted to add a spawn select bit, ie F5 is medic F6 Eng

I can take that out of another config probably, but how do I set it so that when I press f5 it spawns as a medic with only a single pistol, ’cause I need to practice with a pistol

anyway, after setting it up for wasd etc, I played pretty well with your config.
Playing on a different install/alias, I even got accused of multihacking, I felt so special.

class seletor is supposed to be in there but i just did not send it so i’ll redo it and send it class.cfg just add to the etmain folder

also i have found a thing that irritated me was the game taking screenshots and clogging up my game with a crappy screeny of the end of the game with who won etc to deactivate this plz find
