Alrighty. So I downloaded this massive torrent of chapters 1 to 410 of Bleach in English. Like, under 1.7GB, which is pretty impressive I thought, for a zillion image files (20+ per chapter, so like, IT’S OVER 8000!!!!! Actually, it’s possibly over 9000. Idk. I might extract them all again and find out the exact number.

(I know, it’s meant to be 9000, but read http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/It%27s_Over_9000 !)

And they’re in cbr format. Which is just a rar with a different extension so that Comic Book Readers can use it.

Problem is, that only the first cbr loads in a CBR reader. The rest are legit rar’s, but for some reason don’t work in CBR readers.

So, the logical first step to get them working, is to rename them to .rar – easily done with a cmd ren *.cbr *.rar.

Then, extract each archive to a seperate folder.

I’m still going good at this point.

Now. I can RAR any of these folders, to get a rar, rename it to .cbr, and presto, it works!

However. There are 410 chapters, and chapter 315 has 13 folders to it. Which means that I have 423 folders to do this to.

What I’m asking, is if any of you know how to make a new rar for each folder.

I can do this by right clicking, then moving like 200+ pixels to click “Add to “001.rar”

However. It takes ages. Emphasis on the 423 folders to do this to.

So what I want to know, is if there is a magical way to get a RAR of each folder. Not one big RAR for all of them, but a new RAR for each folder. eg 001, 002, 003 … turns into 001.rar, 002.rar, 003.rar …

Alternatively, if you know what keyboard key to press after you right click on a folder to get it to work, I’d love to know.

Right Click + A requires me to press ‘Enter’ afterwards. Which is kinda annoying. I’d rather not have to. I’d like to just go Right Click + [KEY] and it to do it for me.

Alas, I fear that there is no easy way for me to do this, so I must Right Click + A + Enter, another 395 times.

Thank God there are currently only 11 more chapters after 410.

TY for all your help and love. xoxo Admi

You guys suck. I wrote an AHK script to automate the Right Click + A + A + Enter, wait a bit, enter again.

A::
Send,{APPSKEY}{A}{A}{Enter}
sleep 250
Send,{Enter}

Pretty hardcore programming right there. I guessed 250. The WinRAR window must have a bit of delay lag, so I figured 250 is a nice lenient time for it to pop up and steal focus.

Now I just go through to every folder and press a and it does it. Then go to CMD and ren *.rar *.cbr and PRESTO, working CBR files.

If anyone knows a better way to do this, please tell me before I finish.

Love Admi.

Nvm. I made a loop in AHK, so it did it for one, then selected the one to the right, and did it for that, etc etc, for all the remaining ones. /genius.

TL;DR

I just use CDisplay for whatever comics I want to read. (Mostly The Punisher, Deadpool, some others…)
Which I’m pretty sure you don’t have to change the extension for the files.
I think it actually changes it by itself, actually. If it recognises the .cbr files.
Something more or less to that degree.

Mer.

I just hack into the mainframe and mess with the system files down in the central internet server in washington, but this method obviously can only be done by me and exactly 13 known others in the world because of our elite mathematical minds which were put on record upon birth. Without getting too technical I replace several polymer atoms in the central wifi nucleus with dummy neutrons that I designed on C+++++++++ which tricks the core processor into thinking that all comic books of the .cbr file type are rar files. Unfortunately this change is made instantaneously to every computer in the world such is the potency of my cyber libido, so I reroute the original registry files back through 14,000,000 underground proxies world wide then convert the data stream into radio transmission and feed it through an old shoe to add a leathery quality to the data which will throw the government of my tracks. I would give a step by step but the explanation would put everyone in danger, i.e. the government would hunt each of you down 1 by 1 and murder you with the guns from men in black.
