TBH I wouldnt go cheap on PSU’s or this may happen —>

Unfortunately for PSU’s you do get what you pay for and that shaw brand is pretty much FTL. My suggestion is find an Antec/Silverstone/Corsair branded PSU for safety sake.

From MSY they have Coolermaster Extreme 390W for $49 or a Thermaltake 430W for $45, would be much more reliable than that shaw one. The higher the Watts of the PSU wont fry your box as they have regulated output.

As for the pins, they all still have the 4pins, the newer models would have more sata power plugs but for the above models I mentioned they should accommodate you, if in doubt just email the store to make sure.

Also Noted …Mess want’s the cheapest he can get!

Lol@lestat, I dont need experience with Shaw psu’s to know that they’re crap. Fact is with most electronic product lines is that you get what you pay for and thats specially for PSU’s.

What you dont seem to understand is that in order to make the product affordable/cheap, manufacturers will use cheaper materials, source sub-par oem components and further cost cutting by taking a few bits and pieces out that were intended to keep the product stable.

So the question is do you want the cheapest possible psu that will probably die and take everything else with it within 12months or would you rather buy a quality psu that will last you years? and the price difference is just a meager $20-$30(not an arm or a leg).

P.S – blood, sweat and tears got me to the position I am in now, hell I was even bankrupt in my early 20’s so not everyone’s privileged to be born with silver spoons.

Kabal is a sexy man.

I’ll give the PSU a miss for now – keep a close eye on how my board runs with this new stuff and upgrade it if its going bad.

Ive actually got one of the first LCD screens.. haha 15″ completly square one –

Omfg, I have that screen right next to me attached to my sister’s comp. It’s lasted forever, ridiculously good quality.

The 17″ version we had died. We still don’t know what went wrong with it. But that 15″ has been around for like ~6 years now. Quality screen. I don’t think it even does 1280×640.

Tested the P4 boards, 1 has usb blown, the other had AGP blown so both no good.

I do have an old AMD board with a K7600m processor in it with 512mb ram. Cant find a serial number on the board so not sure of the specs. Does have AGP though.

You can have that for $40.

Edit** – Found it – http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Mot … uctID=1416
