Pls post O/S. I am guessing XP, which I would recommend needs 1gig to get out of bed.

Test.

They are right its reasonably cheap to get more ram.

In our little “Hick” town, the local computor shop is selling 1 gig ram $49.00
2 Gig $85.00 and thats got a pretty big mark up on it.
DDR ram (which is ancient) starts at $89.00 to $120.00 but it is old tech and hard to get hold of so….

That should give you an idea!
Maybe 1 of these guys who have upgraded their hardware to DDR3 might chuck you their old DDR/2 hardware….
A few ram chips in the mail wouldnt cost more than $5 to send!!

Good luck!

Thanx

Or you could install TinyXp Rev 09

Statistics:

OPTION 1/2 (With IE/OE/WMP)
RAM Usage On First Installation………… 85 Mb
WINDOWS Folder……………………….. 561 Mb

OPTION 3/4 (Without IE/OE/WMP)
RAM Usage On First Installation………… 75 Mb
WINDOWS Folder……………………….. 517 Mb

OPTION 5/6 (BARE, With IE/OE/WMP)
RAM Usage On First Installation………… 60 Mb
WINDOWS Folder……………………….. 488 Mb

OPTION 7/8 (BARE, Without IE/OE/WMP)
RAM Usage On First Installation………… 50 Mb
WINDOWS Folder……………………….. 459 Mb

There is even a Tiny Win 7 … Which runs on an OLD pc (have installed it on one myself) it has only 1gb ram and 40gb hd and runs a single core 1.8ghz athlon xp
