Bloody Win 10 over-wrote my old administrator account when it made me log into Cortana with my Hotmail account, and made that account administrator. I managed to retrieve my old admin account and switch back but it still won’t let me do anything to my C: drive, saying I have insufficient privileges.

Settings won’t let me change it, nor will C: drive security properties.

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Ta TopCat. I didn’t have to use that as I hadn’t rebooted after I retrieved the old account – reboot fixed it .

But I have book-marked that site, very handy.
