When I try and start ET the intial screen comes up blaring music – the grey mouse indicator (in game mouse) just stalls and my normal white mouse seems to be the only one that will function.
Then when I goto OZ I get this error ” Game code (ui_mp_x86.dll) failed pure server check “
Can someone help?

If you are running Vista or Windows 7, please do the following and inform me if it works.
1. Right Click your ET Startup File
2. Go to Properties.
3. Navigate to the Compatibility Tab
4. Tick the “Run as Administrator” box and the “Run this program in compatibility mode”
5. Select Windows XP (SP Shouldn’t matter).
6. Hit apply then ok.
7. Try reconnecting (using that file to start ET)Cheers, BR

I have XP Mozzie.
I have done a complete reinstall and this has resolved the issue.
