I’m downloading Windows 7 (as people are scoffing at my using XP)

I’ve never used a cracked OS before but from what I can gather it isn’t so problematic. If this is NOT a good idea could someone enlighten me as to why…… before 1:15pm today as that is when the download ends.

I recommend 64 bit Ultimate Edition or Pro Edition as these have more functionality than the more common versions.
Check you hardware to be sure you can support 64bit 1st!

The differences can be found here

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/compare/default.aspx

Don’t worry , it won’t ninja your O/S if you look at the win7 comparisons.

32 bit = max memory 3.25 GB of RAM (if you have 4GB , this O/S is fine)
64 bit = max memory 192 GB of RAM

Be sure of whether or not your CPU can do 64bit before you even start! (otherwise you may have wasted your time).

Ultimate has multilingual support & bit locker (drive encryption) otherwise Pro is almost as good.

Cheers

Be sure to read the system requirements before you proceed!

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/system-requirements.aspx

Ideally 2GB of RAM is ideal for running the O/S + a bit of extra RAM for your programs won’t hurt either.
Check your graphic card & CPU meet the requirements before you ninja your XP installation.

If you need help or advice I will be in TS in 15 mins.

Cheers
