As you are all very aware as of late there has been a number of hackers (or the same one over and over) joining the server. This often happens at night when no admins are on, only the regulars with no powers. As a result it seems almost impossible to kick them due to the flawed voting system.

It would be a fantastic idea to give some trusted regulars, i.e. train or prince, some sort of powers. However in selection of these admins it should be clear that they are not ones who are short tempered and are only allowed to kick/warn etc for hacking. Dont know how Oz would police this but would be a great idea and make your life (oz staff) a hell of alot easier. Maybe commands such as !mute and !warn and MAYBE !kick.

Open to suggestions

It has been an idea brought up many times and should be implemented.
I think it will easily be policed, if they act out in some way and abuse their powers, you can just get the evidence and post it to the forums and their powers should then be revoked.
Either that or make the pbpower needed to kick someone lower, trying to get 10 people to do a pb kick is nearly impossible.
Making pb power 4 or 5 lets the majority decide how to handle hackers and it stops any of this “oh he was abusing his powers” because if 3 or 4 others agree and do the pb kick, you have a weak argument.

the vote allotments as are “standard” the vote via pb will not change! majority rule’s on that one! it is like over 50% to kick a player via the pb vote thing. and as for the pb power system.A commanding player need’s to be granted 100 point’s to do anything with it.< than that he/she may as well be a normal player anyway.and if i am not mistaken a 100 point pb player can use /pb_sv_ban ๐Ÿ™‚ which what admins "should" use anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ it slow's down hacker's just a tad ๐Ÿ™‚

We are currently working on this suggestion and it will be finalised hopefully at tonites Admin meeting. Thanx for the suggestion.
