Ulti has hacked since the down of time, and he is still mad that nobody will be his friend.
I kinda miss the “derp” box on the main page as well. Even though i hardly write there I somewhat got used to it and its interesting to read. Plus if there is an issue with ET in eny way usually one of the mods/admins is on and you can let everyone know.
Perhaps instead of it going along the top, how about on the right hand side?
i never used it on main-page but if it means moar derp then F1

Add a column to the user database and make it a setting – default = no ChatBox, but if they change it to show up, then it shows up for them?
Just run a mysql query, check result, throw the display code in an if statement. wouldn’t be too hard to code.
Setting would be simple too. Just add the column and default it to 0 for everyone.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just make the derpbox collapsible?
Like make a +/- button and if people dont want to see it click – and the derpbox minimises into a one lined tab with the sentence “YOU FAIL AT LYFE”

I like that idea. BR wants it minimised by default, so you just click + to show it.
Could combine it with my idea of saving it per user. You click + and it shows up automatically for you. Wouldn’t have to add it into the user CP then as a setting.
Because really. We’re all too lazy to click + every time.

While I barely contributed to the “derpbox” it was vaguely interesting to see what noob and sun were chatting about 😀 Seriously, when nasty stuff hits the fan and TS AND the servers were goneski, I have gone to derpbox in the past to get some idea of what the status quo is; and in that situation it has been derp factor 9 😀 Lots of ppl! I totally appreciate the work you guys have put into the new website 😀 but I kinda liked being able to see how many new posts are up without having to click on the Donations menu (I may have missed something but seems only way I can get the link); to see who is logged in at a specific time I click on forums and scroll down; and derpbox I’ve pretty much abandoned not even bothering even though it would be interesting to see who’s on and what’s the go. I’m not complaining, onward and upward, but it would be kinda nice if sum1 could inform where I am phailing in having to do it in a round-a-bout way, and perhaps make it so derpbox shows up in some way during the course of my navigation. 😀 <3
