PRW = PLAYER RATING WEIGHT. IT IS HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE ATB (ACTIVE TEAM BALANCE) THINKS YOU MAKE ON WHETHER A TEAM WILL WIN THE MAP OR NOT. ATB REMEMBERS WHICH TEAM USUALLY WINS THE MAP AND HOW GOOD IT THINKS OTHER PEOPLE ON THE TEAMS ARE AND IF YOU WIN A MAP THAT ATB DOESN’T THINK YOU SHOULD WIN. YOUR PRW WILL GO UP AND IT MIGHT THINK YOU WILL WIN IT AGAIN NEXT TIME. THE HIGHEST PRW I HAVE SEEN WAS .967 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. SO AS FAR AS I CAN TELL IT RANGES FROM 0-1.

The problem with that one is flak jackets forever which can’t be disabled with xpsave AND medics with theiir 154hp :(, also causes problem as other classes woule be 1 shotted while those wouldn’t. Try to find a balance, I think it is there atm.. we can try and change it up and give things a test around.

Btw, the old server will be just a simple redirect for poeple to be able to see the ip and make the move as easy as possible. Will happen in the next day or two.

The biggest problem on OZ is the medics are waaaayyy to overpowered
Fix the medics, lower their health, lower their health regen, lower their charge. If people are going to always be full medic then they shouldn’t have the hp a full medic gets.
1) Default gameplay settings with the below changes
– XP reset after more than 8hrs offline OR after 3-4 campaigns
– Make achievements harder to get by increasing required XP
– No adren
– No spawn scripts but invulnerability of 4-5seconds
– Panzer limited to 2per side and r-nade limited to 3per side
– Charge time for medic/fieldops slightly lowered, self heal/replenish with med/ammo halved
– No carrying over rewards to other classes
– 2 med/ammo packs dropped after kill
2) Game settings
– Each person receives one vote per map and 30-45 second rest period between votes.
– Voting to pass by more than 75%; both by either saying yes/no AND by numbers of active players (this means if only 3 players voted ye or no but there are 12 players the vote wont pass)
– Known and trusted regulars apointed simple commands such as !mute/kick/shuffle etc
– Person who is muted should be auto-unmuted after 300sec
– No swear filter but those who excessively swear should be muted
– Admins to do their job swiftly and use the rules as guideline; dont excessively follows the rules (i.e be pedantic about it) nor shuffle in the middle of the map unless its voted and/or everyone is QQing.
– SK allowed but not excessively; If one side is SK constantly by majority of other side then teams are biased and should be shuffled. Methods of SK don’t include blocking pathways with arty/airstrike/mortar; all other weapons allowed.
3) Preferably use a previous server script from Internode/PTGN/OGN. These scripts were well put together over long time. You can also use some of the settings but don’t do what has been done here on OZ whereby changes are made one by one because some QQ.

Hopefully we can still have the 6 players = 1 panzer and 12 players = 2 panzers.

I agree to an extent – why not add panzer to your list, it’s similar to the above methods.

If you change one classes charge time, you have to change all of them.

The damage. The damage will pretty much all be default. Generally, the all the differing damage talk is down to one thing – people’s imagination, and ability to convince others of a particular thing. On different days there has been talk about how the rifle is nerfed, how grenades are nerfed, why did you change the dmg on xyz, etc. The damages, aside from the splash on panzer – ARE DEFAULT. They haven’t changed in months. MONTHS. Yet every week some new damage problem is seen. “Why did you reduce the damage on xyz?”, “who made the splash bigger for abc?”, “who changed it so it take X body shots from efg to kill someone?”. The answer – NO-ONE DID! They haven’t changed.
With one exception – the FG42. The damage from that does need reducing – but then that isn’t default. Which is what people keep complaining about things not being. ๐
There is no perfect answer that will make everyone happy. If we increase the spawn protection like that then people will say they should lose the protection if they shoot, or “4 secs is sooo long on x map, that will make it too easy for Allies/Axis”.
Settings also do not get changed willy nilly because one person QQs about it. For the most part the settings have been stable and solid for months, with very,very few changes. They are also discussed and noted with other admins.
Charge times could do with being reduced slightly, but we’ll discuss that.
