The suggestions I made were based on the game experience I have since Internode days (that is ~2.5yrs). These suggestions reflect the settings that worked on previous servers I played on. Remember that majority of the players are ‘refugees’ from previous server(s) who have migrated onto OZ server, therefore are preety much the backbone of the pubbing community in Australia.
Weapon damage , charge time, overall settings on each class make the game feel off balanced to me for some reason; and we have seen countless threads made to change this or that. I can tell you that one of the biggest issue that OZ has is XP SAVE FOREVER. That really has to be dropped IMO since there is no point in the reward system at all. Make rewards harder to get as well and youre on your way to better gameplay.
We know that majority of the people choose medic/fieldops as their class. Lowering charge time and havling self replenish will be a beneficail thing to do.
Don’t forget that ET invloves teamwork. The more you allow for players to attack solo the worse things will get. One big issue Internode had was no-one hardly ever went engi because they would fail the moment they arrived at a choke point; reason was too many rambo players and not enough help. Settings were changed which discouraged rambo meds and suddenly engis had more help and more teamwork made the game more exciting.
With the next server we should really start with default settings and work our way up from there based on what everyone (or preety much everyone) needs set, but one thing that should be different is NO XP SAVE FOREVER.

i’ve seen it on a yank server where meds can only heal themselves one of their own medpacks per death. Meds also had same max health as a soldier but health regen and charge were normal.
maybe also lowering the distance medpacks can be thrown could help? otherwise a med hiding behind a wall could heal a fops or something 50m away without having to go into the open.

Heck yes. Make medic the fragile support class it is in every single other game out there.
Currently, the main thing stopping that is med-packing themselves, high health, but more importantly, dead F Ops dropping ammo.
Is it just me that thinks medics aren’t even that over powered?
As I said before I only think they’re over powered ONLY when I miss with an rnade or i’m sten….Which is my own error.

3. i suggest we alter the rotation slightly to allow a break with maps we’re familiar with. ie alternate a new map, then radar, then another new map, then oasis, etc..

– Panzer limited to 2per side and r-nade limited to 3per side
Hopefully we can still have the 6 players = 1 panzer and 12 players = 2 panzers.
Would it be possible to modify it that BOTH teams need 6 players to unlock panzers. 6v5 is gay when the team with more guys also has panzer and flamer. Try going by 12 players in total, then 24 players in total.

i don’t really think medics are terribly overpowered.
it’s just that if you’re winning, they get a chance to run away, pack a bit, then take you on while you’re weak. it’s low, and yes, it’s frustrating, but that’s the game.
mining the crap out of choke points, but that’s the game.
multikill panzers, over and over, but that’s the game.
arty on oasis wall over, and over, and over, but that’s the game.
leanwhoring rnaders, but that’s the game.
sometimes, you get stuck on a crap team, and you get -kd, and you couldnt buy a hit. suck it up cause someone on the other team is having fun.
the pleasure is that once in a while, you get on the stacked team, with the right weapon, and you own it.
the great thing about this game is that everyone gets a shot at it. noone is invincible, and everyone gets a triple, and it feels great.
