The subject and the context by which I applied this word (exploit) fit well together and make sense…its the people who make the wrong assumptions and misinterpret the information. I even explained myself so that it would be understood yet people still failed to recognise my argument and continue to skew the topic in the wrong direction.

If we go back to the /kill topic then by default this is used when pressing ‘k’…people change this setting (i.e make changes/adjustment /exploit) so that it can be used with less time loss than you would if you had to drift your finger across the keyboard and press ‘k’. It can be called adjustment/change/exploit but the word ‘exploit’ is more reasonable to use since it also informs you of the impact that such a change has…where as if you said change/adjustment it doest really give an idea what kind of impact this had on the game for example.

Its funny cos it all goes back to how people understand context/definitions/words used in arguments/situations/discussions. I think we hav discussed this topic far enough 🙂

Death just FYI, theres a reason why its called in game “options” not in game “exploits.”
If you still don’t understand how to interpret the definition of the word exploit into the gaming context then I suggest you go take some english classes.

Generally in gaming exploits refers to using a games design flaws or bugs to ones advantage.
Adjusting in game options, redefining keys and different game mods are definitely not exploits.

There are many many changes/adjustments that players make outside the supplied in-game options; Rearanging keystrokes for specific things such as /kill, settings during specific class, physical game appearance, connection settings.

I hardly believe that various MODs became used WITHOUT exploiting the way the game plays/behaves. Players exploit the way the game plays by making the changes/adjustments…if this is the wrong word used for such action then please find me one that is more suitable.

/kill ending the spree. Yes even though I use it and its probably the only way I can get sprees, it should end a spree.
That is the point of a spree really.
All the other QQ about /kill and random game tweaks can end or be started in another topic 🙂

Dying by any means,regardless of self-inflicted or involuntary should automatically end a spree,even if you were TK’d.

Please find attached a screen cap of a GUI that comes default with ET. It allows you to change physical game appearance and connection settings. Amazing isn’t it?
