Rnade restrictions

If kill is reverted, then so too should the rnade restrictions – I want them removed. There is no reason to limit the number of rnaders, given that there are multiple classes much more powerful.

Actually, Panzer limits should be removed too, everyone can just use /kill, what’s it matter?

Wow dude settle down.
Rnade and panzer limits are there because otherwise there would be spam galore. /kill has nothing to do with the rnade and panzer limits, they are there because the rnades and panzer have so much splash that everyone would use them.
Do you have any legitimate reasons for wanting to remove these limits other than that people can /kill on them?

Please tell us which classes are most overpowered and I will find a good way of balancing them all out. I do not play (super amounts) enough on the server to notice the unjustness in class difference. So please inform me of which classes are overly unfair and I shall correct this and release it to let everyoen know the changes in the next changelog

its fine the way it is. Not all classes are meant to have same dmg anyway, thats just part of the game

That’s not really what I was saying (or trying to say) … there really is no reason to limit rnaders. While I don’t like singling out one person, again, for me it comes back to blu. I have no chance against blu smg vs smg. None, zero, zilch. It becomes pointless and frustrating to even play. But that’s just QQ I guess, get some skill, etc, etc. Which would be fine, except that blu seems to be the one who is listened to for the server settings, so we get /kill back, and ridiculous rnade limits, because he doesn’t like them. So the server is more skewed, and more frustrating. Aren’t games supposed to be fun?

Just as a quick heads up for those intrested. Due to constant requests from regs and members I set all the weapon dmg’s to game default. Along with Mars’s statement rnade’s were limited due to constant spamming by many players, ie: the obj was forgotten and majority of ppl went engie rnade just for kills. /kill was also limited for this reason where you had certain players who would camp spawns not concerning themself with obj and /kill when their health dropped below a certain amount sometimes as many as 10 – 15 times a map. If you need info BR hit me up on MSN at your convenience and I’ll detail what I changed so you can go straight to it.

I’m happy to go along with 95% of the stuff you say, but hold on there.

There has never, ever, been an issue (for any length of time, maybe for a couple of maps once or twice, but …) of everyone going eng for kills. It’s just not gonna happen, is illogical, and doesn’t make sense. Soldier/Med/Fops get far, far, far more kills than engs, rnade or otherwise. And going eng to forget the obj? Eng is usually the one doing the obj.

Take even the very best (Prince, blu, Ulti, Lammy, Happy-ish, etc) and make them eng/rnade and they’ll get less kills than if they were med.

What my statement reads as Mars is that on many occassions when rnades were unlimited the engies who are supposed to do the obj were not, they hung out say like on the wall breach in oasis and just rnaded left right and centre not even trying to in the case of axis disable pumps or in the case of allies to break out and blow guns. Its not a reflection on all the players just some of them. So therefore we limited the number of rnades available in an effort to correct this trend, right or wrong its just what was tried. The same for the /kill thing. I’m not intending to inflame any discussion here I’m just offering BR a quick solution if he cares to take me up on it. Cheerz.

Sure, but all that does is make the eng like me who is trying to do the obj less effective, it doesn’t fix the problem.

I get more kills with rnade than smg. And I think i go alright with smg.

If rnade is taken then go something different, you talk about arnt games supposed to be fun and yet you only play one class????????????????????????????????? How is that fun.

however rnade limit should be 4 per team for a full server. Theres only a handful of decent rnaders so the spam doesnt come from rnade. Just learn how to dodge, read into the shot, where to strafe and you’ll be fine.

The more you play SMG, the better you get. Also there are other players that can maintain 50%+ accuracy with 70+ kills.

Many people were unsatisfied with /kill being limited to 3, if you look over BOTH threads I see better evidence to support the default, unlimited amount of /kill.

Your idea of fun is a server full of rnades and panzer?

Majority of players on OZ are ‘new’ or learning – I guess. This means they aim for the ‘one click’ kill weapons (rnade+panz). Can you imagine if the server had unlimited panzer and rnade? It would be terrible and filled with more than half the team playing rnade or panzer spamming it up. Surely not even yourself would want that. I can’t understand how you’d rather get rnaded/panzered over being OUTPLAYED. I can name 10+ players that if no panzer is available then they go rnade, if no rnade is available they go fop and just arty then hide.

@ BR – Naming overpowered classes is pretty subjective but I would say panzer is the most overpowered. I think the server is pretty fine at the moment though.

I personally see medic stil as overpowered when it comes to any class with smg vs medic with smg. I mean panzer vs medic is obvisously easy win but panzar vs any class is win (most of the time however it does take a whiel to shoot them and to reload to get the next shot out). However medic has very fast health regen and more max hp then any other class.

Please note I WILL NOT TOUCH WEAPON DAMAGE, I am happy where wep damage is atm and I don’t want to touch it and out balance it again. However the thing that makes it unfair imo is the medic health. When people complain about weapon damages being low its only becuase its vs medic they have considerable faster regen and more health. Just thinking if I lower hte regen a little or maybe even lower the max health of the medic?

When I wan’t to get kills on the server I go medic becuase its good in firefight, however wouldn’t it be good if it was just a normal class and then maybe people would go med for healing only, rather then just killz.

The reason we have this overpowering of medic is becuase of hte perm xpsave and all levels with levle 4. On another server wihtout level 4 a medic would be normal usually becuase they wudn’t havde the bonus health becuase they wudn’t be level 4 so easy. However in Oz’s case its different.

Please offer more ideas and opinions.
