Are you saying you want to access a website while you’re at school?

You can try access the site through a proxy site…

I think vtunnel is one.
But I can’t remember, havn’t needed to use one in a while.

Mer.

I don’t think any help along the lines of sidestepping controls at school will be good for you, you’ll either be caught and suffer the consequences or someone you blab it to will get caught and shop you for it, either way I don’t see any upside for you ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

WE ALL HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY…………………UNFORTUNATELY SOME OF US HAVE NO FILM

Chances are if you’re on MIS almost all proxy sites are blocked. No way around.

๐Ÿ™ Couldn’t use Facebook on my iPhone using school wi-fi today. Which makes it semi-pointless to have it.

There are about a million proxy sites out there, just keep trying until you find one thats unblocked. Or better yet… host your own, a simple PHP web proxy and an Apache server would take a few minutes to set up and then you could use your home computer as a Proxy Server! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ If you plan to do it ensure that port 80 is unblocked through your router if you have one and also ensure that your ISP allow you to host a server on that port otherwise you won’t be able to connect. You however can always change ports to 8080 or another common port which would be unblocked by your school’s firewall.

Cheers, BR

Note, Optus and a couple of other ISP’s block port 80, no matter what you do, so if you’re with Optus, you have to use another port.

MIS is Managed Internet Services or something. Basically Qld school’s IT department thing. Blocks a ga-zillion sites. They must have people who go through all the pages kids visit and check whether to block them or not. Both this site and my previous clan’s website are blocked. They’re tonnes nazi.

Add me on facebook. I’m Christopher from Joy’s page. Couldn’t remember your first name to go through her massive list to find you. Apparently Hicksy is in there too.

Tunnelling out to your own server/computer is the easiest way.
If you get caught you will get in trouble though (don’t know how your school is on it, some are lax others are hardcore).
So be careful.

Cheers

There will always be a way to break out to the internet.

  • Provided you have a computer at home you are completely unrestricted in what you can do. Basically you have these options:[/*:m:3evgm9lv]
  • CGI proxy running on your home computer (or if you can find one on the internet)[/*:m:3evgm9lv]
  • SSH tunneling (any SSH server that listens on port 443, or the HTTPS port)[/*:m:3evgm9lv]
  • Google translator. Yes google translator. Basically translate the naughty website from any crappy language into English via the Google Translator thingie. You’ll find it’ll do very little to an already-english site except let you view it right through google and through any dumb filter your school has.[/*:m:3evgm9lv]
  • Tunnel over DNS by hosting a domain controller and encapsulate SSH or SOCKS traffic over DNS queries to sub domains of your root domain that lives at home.
  • And last but not least: [/*:m:3evgm9lv]

  • Wire into the cabling of your school’s network switch. Or place a WIFI bridge into the port. One good trick is find a non-powered ethernet HUB and plug yourself into one port, and your schools switch into another port. Then hide the hub in a wall somewhere. They’ll never know and never be able to detect it.[/*:m:3evgm9lv]

…not that cake has any experience with this ๐Ÿ™‚

…or has ever done it….

….or has moobs….

OK one of those is a lie.

…and so was that last sentence.

…. ๐Ÿ˜•

does this box go out to the internetnt? HI MUM! LOOK IM BPUTTING WORDS ON THE COMPUTR AND THEY COME OUT THE OTHTER SIDE ON OTHER PEEOPLESSSSS COMPUTER
