OK which makes more sense:

2. "Hey man, I am thinking about employing my FOV to the greatest possible advantage."

1. and 2. differ. I used 'exploit' because it at least with that word you know what your motives are more clearly.

Anyways I found out that /cg_coronas is the one I was after. So no clue what ''sv_dl_maxRate' is? It seems there are a few more tweaks in the connection section but they never get mentioned with regards to lag/ping/good connection...

Dirty cheat, trying to manipulate server side settings aye.

No idea why anyone with so many years of ET experience wouldn't know that cvars with sv = server side command.
So sv_dl_maxRate is the cvar to set the maximum speed clients are allowed to download from the server.
The only cvars you tweak to improve your connection should only be rate, snaps and maxpackets. Altering anything else is exploiting the way the games meant to be operate/played.

Sorry should have included tweaks on both server and client side; s=server, c=client ya knew that :) Was just curious to see them in my config....one thing I dont understand is wether the same config applies to both client/server cos why the heck does the client have commands that are meant for server side. :/

Personally, I think that a config is something each person builds up for themselves. Sure, sharing ideas about cvars, macros etc is good... but there is a quality you gain from getting used to the same config.

Something unique....

Something special...

Something beautiful...

And then its all taken away by adjusting to someone elses settings, like a dirty uncle on a wednesday afternoon.
Cake's advice here is watch what you fiddle with :)
