Ugly as sin , but in terms of acoustics & audio positioning , they are awesome , unfortunately , if you want these for a lot of bass , ie. heavy metal music or explosions , they don't handle that as well ,still good but mids & highs is what they do very well imo, but they are still a very solid unit.

I paid $200 for mine on matilda's recommendation maybe a year ago & I have to say , money well spent.

Pioneer.
S-313X Speakers with S-X1A Surround Speakers.
Attach them to a DC-X33Z Amplifier/Surround Control System.
Plug computer into that.

Great bass, mid and high tone.
Quality is amazingly clear.
Great stereo (A speaker drops in power from time to time which pushes the sound to either side, but give a button a push or two and it comes back).

Most importantly, IT CAN GET VERY LOUD.

It's exceptional quality considering it's from 1986.

Would not choose anything else.

the megladons arnt that great not worth it , i use the razer Carachias which i think are much MUCH better ,had them for maybe 2yrs with no problems at all (this is for gaming not ) music you could get much better or should i say dearer there others too choose from , plusses are you can wear them all day (they weigh nothing ) soft over the ears ,mic is prob not the most flexible but does the job ,best thing though is the sound of the bullets your unloading at the enemy :) .The best from logitech look alright but are quite cumbersome.

I picked up a pair of Astro A40's and love them to death. If you want them to have 7.1/5.1 surround for music I'd add in the Astro Mixamp but even without it they're excellent for gaming. In-built mic can be removed easily if you're going somewhere/listening to music and they're insanely comfortable. Plus, they're the headgear for the MLG and those guys are just about as hard-core as it gets.

6.5mm Jack, nice.
Got something similar myself, but thats for my guitar amp when somebody is home.
Be careful with the adapter on, the extra weight can bend the jack's

They are $135 but worth it. Better then all the hyped up crap.
Those have been getting pretty good reviews amongst some of my friends. Personally, I like my A40's because they're flatter against my head. Not as chuncky as these ones and you can rotate the cups.
