New computer plays ET worse!!

so i just spent $2500 on a new comp..
went to play ET on radar and was getting 40 odd fps :S
instead of 125 stable like my old 10 yr older comp

is there something i need to do in windows 7..?
not to sure with all this new fandango stuff.. plays all high end games on highest gfx settings yet i cant hold solid fps in ET? seems wierd

Ensure the following are completed first:

* Update your gfx drivers to the latest version for your card
* Run ET as an administratorand also try running in XP SP2 mode (apparently some users claim it helps)
* Set the affinity to a single CPU for ET and set your priority high for it.

Give that a shot.

If you copied ET across.... then you may have incorrect gfx settings copied across as well. Have you tried a fresh install of ET to see how it handles. While also doing the following posted above?

this happen to me when i go my new computer an i screwed around with all the setting an with a decent internet connection it stays
125 50 ping, u justgotta find the right setting window 7 is werid idk .

I've got win7 64 bit, and a pretty basic laptop and i'm getting 125 fps solid.

Try the latest ET Ultimate installer, you just gotta tweak config setting afterwards
