I hope this isn't out of line, but here is my anecdote about my grandfather's burial from a few years ago....
Day 1
Went to Grandad's funeral where my mother made a highly impressive eulogy.
Day2
Drove up to an uncles place & had a small family ceremony where we payed our respects to the old guy & buried his ashes & planted a tree over it.
All done and headed back to our places of residence
On the way back my aunty stopped our car at a servo for petrol. When she went inside to pay the conversation went:
Servo guy: that'll be $xx.xx, and how's your day going today?
noob's Aunty: *hesitates*
noob's Aunty: *hesitates*
noob's Aunty: NOT BAD, CONSIDERING I JUST BURIED MY FATHER!
Servo guy: *zomg*
Patz, hang in there dude. For a GP passing, I try to celebrate their time. Time passes and you will find fond memories in the strangest of circumstances.
Cheers,
noob
