Hey Noobi, Welcome to the forums.
If it was working originally please ensure there are no .pk3 files causing corruption of your game when you connect to a server. Please delete your etpub and etpro folders and try reconnecting to your desired server.

Thank BR, I've tried what you suggested and still the same thing. ET crashes just as it finishes downloading any PK3 file. (I've got ET version 2.6C) I think I need to start with a clean install. Can you suggest where I might find a reliable version of ET to download?

New ones with Core i5/i7 processors are going to be released like, super soon. With better graphics cards, screen resolutions and hard drive sizes etc. Return it while you still can and just wait a little longer to get a tonnes better product at the same or a lower price!
I've been waiting for the new ones to come out since like, January, and though waiting is getting hard - in WoW on my PC, I only get 13 FPS with everything set to lowest, playing fullscreen at like 1080x1024 or whatever the widescreen version of 1080 x something is - but I'm still holding out for the new ones.
What model btw? 15 or 17? 13 has only the 9400M and I can't imagine gaming on such a small screen.

There's a whole lot of hope they'll be out soon. Apple were just waiting for the iPad to be released, and I'm heaps sure they'll probably release them this month.
Once I get mine and possibly try ET, I'll definitely try to help you out with whatever your problem was though. I stopped reading after 'new macbook Pro'.
