I'm pretty sure that we can talk about it for that would be what they want us to do? :) If you go to the Dirty Bomb website right down the bottom of the page you will see this as a link 'Play for FREE at launch'. Click on this and make an account to get a Key when the game is launched.

Now you just wait to see if your one of the lucky ones to join in the launch of Dirty Bomb. :)

escape.

Iron sights. That is all.

Another game made for the bogan cod 15 fans.

Splash needs to look at q3 et rtcw jo and what they all
generally had in common. (apart from the same engine)

I've paid my 30 to get into the Beta.. i think that's pretty worth it.

Oh and at this ^ guy, do you notice how little ironsights are used?

2 videos 1 map m8. Happy to be proven wrong by someone playing alpha. At very least this game will have a active community to start out being ftp and all.

I got high hopes for this to bring back the ET community.

Things that worry me:

1) ADS - there should be none. Good ol' crouch/prone worked well.

2) Game speed - slightly slower. You can see that the player in the video tries to strafe but it looks bit slow.

Anyways, fingers crossed.

Yes iron sights but similar game play as et is a little slow but as it is only in its alpha build stage we will see how it turns out

Shall we try that again?

Why are ironsights such a bad thing to have in this game?
It depends what iron sights does in the game. In CoD, using ironsights slows your movement speed down and greatly reduces bullet spread with sustained fire, and also zooms in slightly. I'm assuming the arguments against it are because it takes away from the feel of the game.

But if you look at it from Splash Damage's point of veiw, the top selling FPS games now-days all contain an ironsight feature (CoD, BF, etc), and the majority of players of these games are too used to this feature to play a game that doesn't contain this feature

Yes some people may play an iron-sightless game because its different to CoD/BF, but when they realise they're not as good as they are on CoD/BF, the game will go the same way as Brink.

As the developer, Splash damage could make a game that appeals to a small community of ET/Quake/UT players, or they could appeal to the masses of CoD/BF kiddies (i.e. $$$)

Can they just make iron sights optional? or is it optional already?
