Hi all, been awhile!! Looks like someone redecorated ur home!! looks Great!!


Anyways bak on topic.

One of our members(bozzy) posted this video.cfg that makes our old game look as close as possible to HD!!

So thought would share, I use it and ev thing looks great!!

So here it is:

1) OPEN ANY TEXT EDITING PROGRAM (NOTECRAP, WORDPAD...)
2) PASTE THE DAMN CODE DOWN THERE IN IT :

3) SAVE IT AS A TXT WITH AN EASY NAME TO REMEMBER.
4) RENAME THE EXTENSION TO .CFG (E.g. video.txt => Right Click => Rename file => video.cfg)
5) PUT THE DAMN FILE IN YOUR DAMN ETMAIN FOLDER, WHICH IS IN YOUR ENEMY TERRITORY FOLDER (LOGIC, LOL)
6) WHEN YOUR IN GAME, TYPE /exec NAME OF THE DAMN FILE (E.g. console => /exec video.cfg => ENTER
7) GAME WILL RELOAD AND THINGS WILL WORK PERFECLY.

WATCH OUT, IF YOUR MONITOR AIN'T 1080p IT FREAKING WON'T WORK SO DON'T TRYYYYYYY.
IF IT'S 720p, CHANGE THE "customwidth" and »"customheight" NUMBERS TO WHAT YOU NEEEEED (720p = 1280x720 I think)

+ YOU CAN CHANGE SOME OF THE OTHER SETTINGS IN THE CODE AS YOU WANT THEM TO BE.
+ YOU CAN ADD IT TO YOUR AUTOEXEC SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO /EXEC IT ALL THE TIME. GET YOUR WAY TO DO IT, IF THAT WON'T WORK, ASK SOMEONE ELSE THAN ME, I AM LAZY.

Soz if u all already knew this lol, just saves playing with custom settings every time u vist a server!

Thanks Jem. Gave it a go & looks nice, but not too much different to what I had set anyway - Everything maxed.
The only think that it as bit off-putting is that flares, turned that back off to reduce the amount of light on certain objects.

Would be nice to have everything reduced to a minimum so the visibility of other players really stands out, almost like a coloured wire-frame. But think that would borderline hax!

Ha Ha np Tyrian, glad u liked it!! You should be able to change any of the settings to siut your likes..as for the settings considererd as hax, try punk buster or even balance. They will list the acceptable settings to be considered clean.

Bump for Sparky!

This should work for your new monitor. The only values you may need to adjust are the screen size in orange above. If you have the wrong values ET will crash with an 'OpenGLsomething error' if it does simply adjust screen size to that of your monitor and it will be fine.

Also you will need to /exec it each time you start playing so I bind it to a key:

/bind h exec hd.cfg (or what ever you called your file)

So as soon as I join the server i press 'h' and it video restarts and all is in hd!!
